Capitalism is an ideology. It is a practice to operate an economy. I am not sure we should argue about economic systems. We should work at finding a practice that cares for all humanity.
The human animal holds a different responsibility in nature because of the process of thinking. Remember humanity’s success started because of cooperation for the welfare of all the people not from competition between the people providing winners and losers. Hum, the Hunter, and Gathers may have been closer to human “being” than a practice of warfare, arguing, and competing.
Technology with their algorithms allow propaganda to be executed with pinpoint accuracy: that is cheating.
The cheating is the ability to pinpoint the lie.
Propaganda is deliberately spreading ideas, facts or allegations to further one’s cause or to damage an opposing cause.
I think furthering a cause is ok if discussion is allowed. But opposing cause with a goal to damage is not healthy for community and I think that is what Fox News does.
The function of being human is thinking: preferability to create cooperation to create community of thinking.
One should not practice propaganda. Propaganda is brainwashing. Fox News is propaganda in their politics. The other networks are much better but often do NOT have a strong practice of good journalism.
To have a goal to cause damage to another’s idea is very different than promoting one’s belief.
