The Tree of Life first stage of living this life is an “I” culture, a Glory, Victory, Discipline, Love, Understanding and Wisdom practice. The second second practice tosses out the “I” (ego driven) to develop a Self who can understand, by seeing the culture that supports the Glory and Victory living, such as money and fame. By replacing Glory and Victory with Theory and Practice (rational thinking). Then the responsible/awake Self, rather than “I”, will provide rational thinking by adding Judgement and Mercy to Discipline and Love.
The Self recognizes Glory and Victory is competition thinking which is then replaced with cooperation a way of thinking with the tools of Theory and Practice.
